Availability

Availability shows whether your range was there for Ocado’s shoppers. For each product, at each of Ocado’s customer fulfilment centres (CFCs), on each day, it gives the share of demand that was in stock and could be promised for next-day delivery. Use it to spot the products and CFCs where gaps are costing you sales.

The figure is Ocado’s own availability measure, VWATP (velocity-weighted availability to promise). It runs from 0% (nothing could be promised) to 100% (all demand could be met).

Each product is weighted by the units it sold over the last 28 days at that CFC. A gap on a fast seller counts for more than a gap on a slow one, so the headline figure reflects what matters most to your sales.

Availability = Σ (product's availability × its units over 28 days) ÷ Σ units over 28 days

  • Ocado gives a figure for each product, CFC and day. Every other figure (a week, a CFC, your whole range, a custom period) is the weighted average of those.
  • Pivot never averages percentages. It adds up the weighted totals first, then divides once.
  • Weeks run Monday to Sunday.
  • Ocado

No other retailer sends a comparable availability measure. For Tesco, Store Performance has Availability % and Lost Sales (units) for each store.

  1. In the menu, open Ocado and choose Availability. Or press Ctrl K (⌘K on a Mac) and type “availability”.
  2. Choose a CFC, or leave it on All CFCs.
  3. Choose a Grain: Day (the default) or Week.
  4. Choose a Period: Last 4 weeks (the default), Last 8 weeks, Last 12 weeks or Custom range. The presets end on the Sunday on or before the newest day held, so they cover whole weeks.
  5. In Graph Settings (the cog), choose the Trend lines: Total, or One per CFC.
  • The cards show Latest week and Week before, each with its dates, and the Change between them in percentage points.
  • The status on each week and product is On target at 95% or more (Ocado’s own target), Watch from 90%, and Below under that.
  • The chart shows availability by day or by week, as one line or one per CFC.
  • By product lists your lowest availability first. Units, 28 days is each product’s weight: its units over the last 28 days on the newest day in the period, across the CFCs in view. A Category column shows Ocado’s category where it sends one. Expand a row to see the product by day and CFC.

History starts in August 2026 and builds from there. Figures run to the day before, and the latest day or two can still move slightly as Ocado settles its numbers.

If you see “No availability data for this brand”, Pivot doesn’t yet hold any Ocado availability for your products.
