Waitrose

For Waitrose, Pivot shows your sales by week and by month, branch by branch, and the wastage Waitrose records against your lines. Waitrose doesn’t send stock, so there are no stock figures for it.

  • Weekly sales by store: units and revenue for each of your lines at each Waitrose branch, a week at a time. These drive the weekly charts and the store reports.
  • Daily sales: units and revenue for each line, for all branches together. These build the monthly figures.
  • Wastage: £ only, by store and week, split into Reduced (markdowns), Explained wastage (write-offs) and Explained quality, which is part of Explained wastage.
  • No stock or ranging.
  • Weekly sales and wastage: a Waitrose week ends on a Saturday, and its figures arrive on the Monday after. Until then, the weekly views and store reports stop at the last complete week.
  • Daily sales: the current month fills in as each day arrives. Pivot checks for new figures several times a day and picks each day up as soon as Waitrose publishes it.
  • Corrections: if Waitrose corrects a day or a week, Pivot picks up the change once the figures are three to four weeks old.

Sales and wastage go back to the end of September 2024. The first Waitrose week in Pivot is the one shown as 30 September 2024.

  • Waitrose weeks run Sunday to Saturday. Each one is shown against the Monday after it starts, so a single Waitrose week is a day out of line with the Monday to Sunday weeks of other retailers.
  • Weekly and monthly totals won’t tie exactly. Weeks come from the weekly store figures and months from the daily figures, and Waitrose weeks straddle month ends.
  • Wastage is weekly only, so the Wastage page has no monthly view. Explained quality is already inside Explained wastage, so don’t add it on top.
  • No stock means no Rate of Sale or Stores Selling for Waitrose, and no stock columns in the store reports.
