Sainsbury's

For Sainsbury’s, Pivot shows daily sales and stock for every store, along with which stores Sainsbury’s ranges each product in. Together they show where your products are selling, where they should be on the shelf, and where they ran out.

  • Sales: units and revenue, by store and product, for each day.
  • Store stock: units on hand at each store at the end of each day.
  • Ranging: whether each store is meant to carry each product, day by day.
  • Out-of-stock days: the days a ranged store had no stock, which give Availability % and Lost Sales on Store Performance.

Pivot doesn’t get wastage, forecasts or service level from Sainsbury’s.

  • Sales and stock: Pivot checks for new figures several times a day and picks each day up as soon as Sainsbury’s publishes it.
  • Corrections: Sainsbury’s sometimes updates recent days, including filling in ranging a few weeks later. Pivot picks up corrections for about six weeks, so recent weeks can change a little.
  • Sales: We load as much history as Sainsbury’s lets us when your brand joins Pivot, and keep every day from then on.
  • Store stock, availability and Lost Sales: from 1 January 2026, so from the week of 29 December 2025. Earlier weeks show no stock.

Sainsbury’s keeps a long history, so a missing day can be fetched again.

  • Ranged and in stock aren’t the same. Some stores hold stock of a product they aren’t ranged for, for example after a delisting. Stock figures count those stores. Availability and Lost Sales count only ranged stores.
  • Lost Sales counts a ranged store’s days with no stock and no sales. A whole week with no stock and no sales isn’t counted, because it can’t be told apart from a delisting.
  • Products with no stock figure: if Sainsbury’s sends no stock for a product, it has no Stock, Availability % or Lost Sales.
  • Weeks run Monday to Sunday, the same as the rest of Pivot.
